ORDER:

           

            In the circumstances reported by the Director of Medical Education in his letter 3rd read above, the  Government after careful examination, hereby  makes the following amendments to the Rules for Admission to the General  Nurse Training in Government  Hospitals in the State issued in G.O.Ms.No. 473 M&H (K1) Department                            Dated: 29-2-1980 and as amended  subsequently.

 

AMENDMENTS

In the said  Rules:-

 

(1)   For rule 6,  the following shall be substituted, namely:-

?Eligibility and age

 

6.   (a)        Women candidates alone are  eligible  for admission into the training; and

(b)        must have completed (17) years of age and shall not have  completed (25)
years of age.

 

For  the Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes the Upper age limit is relaxable by  5 years.

 

Note: A candidate born on the 1st  January of a year will complete one year on 31st December of the same year which shall be calculated on the basis of date of birth as indicated in the S.S.C.  Certificate or its equivalent examination?.

 

  1. For rule 7, the following shall be substituted; Namely :-

 

?7. Educational Qualifications : The  Candidate should have (12) years of schooling and the minimum educational qualification is Intermediate with Science or               (Plus Two)  + 2 Science or equivalent examination with science group?.

 

3.   For rule 8 the following shall be substituted; namely:- ?8 the Director of Medical and Health Services shall issue notification inviting applications from eligible women candidates for  admission to the Course and the students shall be admitted once in a year.

 

4.   In rule 10,

 

(a) After Sub-clause (iii) of Clause (a), one following shall be inserted, namely

?(iv) Good knowledge of English is essential and the candidates must be prepared to learn Telugu?.

(b) for clause (e) the following shall be substituted; namely ?

?(e)  Students should be medically  fit.  The superintendent shall before actual admission, confirm the authenticity of the certificates produced by the candidates under clause (a) of rule  11?

 

5.   In rule 11, after clause (f) the following shall be added, namely :-

 

?(g) A conduct Certificate issued by the Principal of the College in which the
Candidate last studied?.
