ORDER:
Government have been examining the question of evolving policy guide-lines for establishment of (1) Nursing Schools: (2) MPHW(F) Schools: (3) Physio therapy training Centres: and (4) Para-Medical training Centres for quite some time now. After detailed examination of the issues involved, Government have prepared the policy guide-lines to be followed while considering applications from interested persons for establishment of the above categories of institutions. In order to bring about uniformity and also to ensure that objective criteria are applied while examining the applications. Government have constituted a Committee under the Chairmanship of Justice Sri P. Ramachandra Raju (Retd. Judge) in G.O. read above to undertake the exercise as detailed therein.
2. A Cabinet sub-Committee consisting of 910 Dr. N. Janardhan Reddy. Honourable Minister, Health Medical and Family Welfare (2) Sri Kadiam Srihari, Honourable Minister, social Welfare and (3) Sri K. Chandrasekhar Rao, Honourable Minister, Transport, in its meeting held on 30-7-1997 discussed about additional number of para-medical institutions to be started in the State while taking into consideration the existing number of institutions and the need to train large number of Para-Medical Staff, recommended to start (298) additional institutions in the state for the courses as indicated in the Annexure to this order. If sufficient number of Application are not received for any of the aforementioned courses in backward districts. The cabinet sub-Committee will further review to extend concessions to the institutions to start institutions in backward districts. The Government hereby accept the recommendations of the Sub-committee.
3. The Committee constituted in G.O. read above will publish an advertisement in important national and local news papers calling for application from interested parties and specify in the advertisement the number of institutions which would be located in each district as recommended by the Cabinet sub-committee and as shown in the Annexure to this order.
