ORDER:

                  In his letter 2^nd read above, the  Commissioner of Family Welfare has proposed certain amendments to the Rules of  procedure for selection and admission of candidates into the  M.P.H.W. (F) Training  Course.  In his letter 3^rd read above, the Director of Medical Education has  agreed with the views expressed by the  Commissioner of Family Welfare and requested for issue of  amendments to the  rules issued in the G.O. 1^st read above.

2.                  The Government have examined the matter and decided to amend the Rules of procedure for selection and admission into the Multipurpose Health Workers (Female) Training Course issued in the G.O. 1^st read above.

3.                  The following amendments  are issued to the Rules of procedure for  selection and admission of candidates into Multipurpose  Health Workers (Female) Training Course, Issued in the G.O. 1^st read above.

AMENDMENTS

i.                     Rule 6 of the said rules shall be deleted.

ii.                   The existing rule 8 of the said rules,  shall be substituted with the  following:

? The  Multipurpose Health workers (Female) Training Institutions under the private managements should be attached to a 60 bedded Hospital.  Out of the  60 beds, 10 beds should exclusively be for maternity cases and delivery cases, so that adequate practical  training  in Midwifery can be  given to the trainees in the Hospital attached to the Training Institution? and

iii.                  The existing Rule-7, 8,9 and 10 shall be  re-numbered as 6,7,8 and 9.

4.                  The Director of  Medical  Education / Commissioner of Family Welfare are requested to bring the above rules to the notice of all the Multipurpose Health Workers   (F) Training Institutions immediately.
